Welcome!
I’m so glad you’re here!
Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, stressed, ‘stuck’, or are seeking personal growth, prioritizing yourself through therapy can be a catalyst for positive change in your life. Life's challenges often take a toll on our mental and emotional well-being, yet too often we fail to prioritize ourselves and our self-care. As the founder of Willow Pond Counseling, I understand the importance of investing in yourself in the interest of improving relationships, increasing self-esteem and confidence, and finding greater life satisfaction.
Through the process of counseling, we will work together to help you gain insight into yourself, develop coping strategies to manage stress, and build resilience to overcome life's hurdles. Collaboration and questions are encouraged at every step of the process.
I look forward to working with you. You are welcome here!
Kindly,
Amy Sayler, MS, LGPC, NCC
My name is Amy and I am a licensed counselor in the state of Maryland. I hold a master’s degree in counseling from Hood College and am the founder of Willow Pond Counseling. I am honored to be part of my clients’ journeys towards personal growth and healing, and value the innate wisdom within each individual.
I believe therapy should be a collaborative process between therapist and client and I strive to provide an atmosphere of trust, respect and support. I offer a safe and non-judgmental space for clients of all backgrounds to explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. I ask my clients to arrive ready to work, but also encourage lightness and laughter during session.
I practice an integrated and holistic approach to therapy utilizing tenets of person-centered therapy, integrated family systems (IFS), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and psychodynamic approaches. I cater sessions to client’s specific needs and am open to suggestions and feedback throughout the process.
I invite you to request a free 15 minute phone consultation to determine if I may be a good fit for you.
