Support you need. The life you want.

Starting therapy is more than simply seeking support. It is an act of courage, self-compassion, and a commitment to your own personal growth. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or navigating life transitions, therapy provides tools to help you find your way.

At Willow Pond Counseling, we help you embark on a journey of self-awareness, self-acceptance, and self-growth. We focus on creating a warm, comfortable, and welcoming space for you to explore the thoughts, emotions, and experiences associated with your unique story. In collaboration with you, we develop personalized treatment plans aimed at helping you gain valuable insight into yourself, develop coping strategies to manage stress, and build resilience to overcome life's hurdles.

Beginning therapy is a brave step towards living the life you want to live.

Whether you’ve been in therapy in the past or are starting anew, we look forward to gently guiding you through the process.

Amy Sayler, MS, LGPC, NCC

Hi… and welcome!

My name is Amy and I am a licensed counselor in the state of Maryland. I hold a master’s degree in counseling from Hood College and am the founder of Willow Pond Counseling. I am honored to be part of my clients’ journeys towards personal growth and healing, and value the innate wisdom within each individual.

I believe therapy should be a collaborative process between therapist and client and I strive to provide an atmosphere of trust, respect and support. I offer a safe and non-judgmental space for clients of all backgrounds to explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. I ask my clients to arrive ready to work, but also encourage lightness and laughter during session.

I practice an integrated and holistic approach to therapy utilizing tenets of person-centered therapy, integrated family systems (IFS), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and psychodynamic approaches. I cater sessions to client’s specific needs and am open to suggestions and feedback throughout the process.

I invite you to request a free 15 minute phone consultation to determine if I may be a good fit for you.
